We are thrilled and excited to invite you to our first physical space in the heart of Mexico City. We aim to transform this space into a hub of knowledge and enjoyment for all those who wish to savor fine Mexican wines and the finest craft spirits.
This space combines the best of a wine shop and a mezcal bar. We also host cultural and creative events every Saturday. Whether you want to enjoy a drink, attend a tasting, or simply appreciate the art displayed on our walls, you're welcome to join us.
This project, a collaboration between Acha and Reurbano, involved the renovation of a nineteenth-century building with the intention of preserving its historical significance while modernizing the cultural heritage of the Historic Center. Emilio Dondé number 7 was part of the first neighborhood in Mexico City, named Colonia Nuevo México. Built in 1860, it has witnessed different eras. It began as a home to mostly French families, witnessed the Mexican Revolution, and experienced the student movements of the mid-20th century. Its historical and architectural value has led to recognition by the INAH (National Institute of Anthropology and History), INBA (National Institute of Fine Arts), and SEDUVI (Department of Urban Development and Housing).
Now, Dos Cuerpos is part of the Ciudadela neighborhood. We take pride in being a part of an urban space with such a rich historical and cultural background. Ultimately, the urban space is a political arena, a site of protest, dispute, and intercultural exchange; it is in constant negotiation and confrontation for national identity. Thus, we embrace our role in these social processes of 21st-century Mexico.
This space allows us to foster the intercultural dialogue that Dos Cuerpos aims for. It provides a platform where people from diverse backgrounds, ideas, cultures, and languages can engage in conversations that enrich knowledge while enjoying the finest mezcals and wines. Everyone is welcome to Dos Cuerpos: Local 8!
